Pattachitra (ପଟ୍ଟଚିତ୍ର) is one of the oldest and most treasured traditional art forms of Odisha, dating back over 1,000 years. The name comes from two Sanskrit words: "Patta" meaning cloth and "Chitra" meaning picture. These paintings are more than just art — they are stories told through brushstrokes, deeply rooted in mythology, culture, and devotion.
